Event Description Start / Registration Start/Finish Colville School 72km Start Time 9:00am 24km Start Time 9:30am 40km Start Time 10:00am Registration Friday night from 6 - 9pm Saturday from 7:00am at Colville School Prizegiving 4:00pm at Colville School The Course   Kona Colville Connection 72km This 72km ride starts in Colville, passes through hilly country up the east coast to Stony Bay, and in 2010 with a permit from DoC, will round the remote end of the peninsula on the coastal low level walkway to meet the road end at Fletcher Bay, before returning to Colville along the unspoiled rocky coastline. Top riders break 3.5 hours. Average riders take 5 - 6 hours and casual riders 6 - 7 hours. Ground Effect "Get On Yer Bike" 40km Ride The new 40km course (approx. 42km) was devised as a wet weather alternative after the 2009 mudbath! We decided to use it anyway as it provides a fresh challenge and is nice riding. It covers a wide variety of terrain and provides some tremendous views. It is not suitable for beginners. The bulk of the course is ridable and is on private land, with a short sealed road section in the middle.   Jungle Safari 24km This 24km bike ride is an introduction to the scenic Colville area. It's 100% rideable with moderate grades, lots of straightforward off road track and a chance for a swim at the beautiful Waikawau Beach. Expected ride time is 1 hour for experienced riders, to all day for recreational riders with time to smell the flowers.
